Three and half months of intense renovations were celebrated with a grand opening of the new and improved Colborne Foodland November 9th.
According to franchise owner Peter Armstrong who has been overseeing its operation for the past four and half years, it was a struggle keeping the business going while all the renovations were underway.
But it has been worth it, he says. “The customers love it!”
All new refrigeration is one of the most visible improvements. But the most impressive sight to see is the greatly expanded deli section, bakery and meat shop.
Peter says as a result of the expansion of these three areas, he has added 20 staff positions.
About 500 to 600 people visit the Colborne store he says. And the hours are still the same- 7 to 9 every day.
